Brittany Hunter
Mrs. Hunter is in her 2nd year of teaching at Creekside Intermediate School and her 16th year of teaching overall. She previously worked in Alvin ISD as Assistant Band Director at Manvel High School for eight years and in Humble ISD for six years; one year as the Assistant Band Director at Humble Middle School and five years as the Assistant Band Director at Kingwood High School. Mrs. Hunter is originally from San Antonio where she attended Ronald Reagan High School. After graduation she studied music education at Baylor University where she played in the Baylor Wind Ensemble, Baylor Symphony Orchestra, and held the 4th Horn position in the Waco Symphony Orchestra for the 2009-2010 season. Mrs. Hunter is married to her husband, Beau, who is also a band director. They have a son, Ewan, and daughter, Eilidh. Mrs. Hunter likes to spend time with her family, crochet, and work in the yard during her free time. |

David LaClair
David LaClair has recently accepted the role of Percussion Director for the Clear Springs High School Cluster in League City, TX. He is PUMPED to get to work with the Charger Band, the Creekside Cobra Band, and the Victory Lakes Band! Mr. LaClair recently completed twelve years teaching jazz and percussion at Los Fresnos High School in Los Fresnos, TX. He earned a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Stephen F. Austin State University and a Master of Percussion Performance degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He began his teaching career at Crystal City High School. During his time there, he built a jazz program from scratch and was part of a UIL State Finalist marching band team. Since arriving at Los Fresnos High School, David has helped grow the percussion studio to statewide prominence. He has taught dozens of All-Region, All-Area, and All-State percussionists. In 2018, Mr. LaClair and his colleague Patrick Anderson, alongside their students, gave a percussion pedagogy clinic at the Texas Music Educators Association Convention in San Antonio. In the last two years, the Los Fresnos High School Percussion Ensemble was awarded rst place at every contest it entered in the Texas Educational Colorguard Association and Texas Colorguard Circuit. Mr. LaClair expanded the Los Fresnos High School jazz program to three jazz bands. Under his direction, the Los Fresnos High School Jazz Orchestra has won countless jazz festivals and been named a National Winner by the Foundation for Music Education twice. Alongside the LFHS band sta and jazz students, LaClair gave a jazz pedagogy clinic at the Texas Bandmasters Association Convention in 2024. The LFHSJO performed as the Texas Music Educators Association Invited Jazz Ensemble in 2025. Important teachers and mentors in David’s life include: Todd Felty, Ken Green, KJ Staord, Fred Allen, Scott Harris, David Campo, Jack Stamp, Michael Kingan, Joe Honstein, Michael Garcia, Andy Salois, and Paul Hageman. David is married to his beautiful wife Kristi who is a proud Medical Laboratory Scientist at UTMB and educator at Texas Southmost College. Their son Marco is a performer with Carolina Crown Drum and Bugle Corps and a Jazz Studies/Music Education major at the University of North Texas. Their children Evelyn and William are excited to be a part of the Clear Creek ISD family! |
